Primary care network

Primary CaRe Study

The I-MOVE primary care studies started in the 2008–09 influenza season. Study sites in various countries have carried out studies every influenza season since then, using the test-negative case control study design. Each season we pool the individual studies in the multicentre study and measure pooled influenza vaccine effectiveness (VE) by influenza (sub)type.

We also measure VE by age group, by clade/genetic variant (since 2015–16), by previous vaccination, by time since vaccination and by influenza vaccine type (since 2012–13).
